FEDETAXI , the Taxi Trade Association of Madrid and the Spanish Taxi Federation, has announced the upcoming launch of a digital taxi platform that will compete with the already established Uber , Cabify and FreeNow . According to the president of the association, Miguel Ángel Leal, in a radio programme, it is "a truly competitive tool to access an increasingly large public that demands services through digital applications". The project has been in the making for two years and the platform, supported by a German company, has already been tested with more than 300 trips.
