Multiexperience (MX) is in second place in the "Top 10 technology trends for 2020" , a study published by the consulting firm Gartner in October 2019. The subject could not be more current and continues the User Experience movement, which began to gain vital importance in software development in the mid-2000s. This article introduces the topic and frames it within the vision of Intelligent ERP that has been developed at PRIMAVERA.
Ambient Experience
"The "computer" in a multiexperience world is the environment around kenya whatsapp number database user, including many touchpoints and sensory inputs. The multitouchpoint aspect of the experience will connect people across edge devices, including traditional computing devices, wearables, automobiles, environmental sensors and consumer appliances . The multisensory aspect of the experience will use all human senses as well as advanced computer senses (such as heat, humidity and radar) as appropriate across this rich sea of devices. a quaint and antiquated idea as the spaces that we inhabit become multisensory and multitouchpoint interfaces. The long-term manifestation of multiexperience is also called the ambient experience.

In the global universe of applications, the browser is the main access point to common services and needs of human life. Native applications for mobile environments also continue to grow, taking the place of desktop applications. This trend is accentuated by the ability of the browser, and all the underlying technologies, to standardize the user experience and develop a common interaction pattern between the person and the machine. It thus provides enough comfort to use multiple applications in the most varied contexts, from multiple devices, anywhere and at any time.
The democratization of access to information continues to evolve and the boundaries between personal and professional life are blurring. Time is now continuous, space is shared, people are customers, suppliers and friends, communication is widespread and applications are tools for everyday life with multiple experiences and different contexts. Gartner has called this phenomenon multiexperience (MX) or, in a continuing perspective, ambient experience (AX) .
Recent technological developments have been the driving force behind this evolution. Physical devices have become more immersive and now support multiple forms of interaction. Smartphones, smart watches, semi-autonomous vehicles and all consumer gadgets interact with us through voice and natural language, image and gesture recognition, vibration and light. Others, such as consoles and IoT sensors, interact in an even more immersive way.
If we concentrate all these features and interconnect all devices and people via the Internet, the potential for their practical application is exponentially large. By 2023, Gartner predicts that 25% of large enterprise applications will be supported by multiexperience development (MXD) platforms. The way we interact with the digital world is changing!
Multiexperience Development
"Gartner says that by 2021, at least one-third of enterprises will have deployed a multiexperience development platform to support mobile, web, conversational, and augmented reality development. As part of that, he talked about immersive environments in areas such as field service , retail, training, and design. But Burke said this includes a lot of other experiences, including apps on various devices, from smart speakers to your car. consistent ambient experience over time.”
Gartner, October 2019
Earlier this month, Jason Wong, Gartner's analyst and VP, presented a more recent study in which he stated that the MX technology platform will essentially consist of native mobile applications and their respective backend services in the Cloud, highlighting that these services will mainly be Artificial Intelligence services. In fact, this movement began around the year 2000, when we were beginning a journey marked by the accentuated role of User Experience .
Mr. Wong also stated that, although web and mobile applications are the main focus of companies for the frontends of the coming years, Artificial Intelligence services will be equally important for building the backends of MX environments. As is easy to understand, MX interfaces need a continuous connection to backend services to process data and provide information in real time. This does not mean that the data has to be processed at the exact moment, but this preparation must be planned so that it is available when needed.
In the context of the evolutionary path we have been on since 2000, what can we expect from "ambient experience" software in the coming years? What are MXD platforms? What is PRIMAVERA's MXD platform?
Regarding the immersive experience expected by this type of environment, Mr. Wong proposes a simple 4-step model to apply to the digital user journey:
1- Sync me - Storing a user's information, which the user can find and access anytime;
2- See me - Understanding a user's context, location, situation, historical preferences, and then offering a better information and interaction to the user;
3- Know me - Using predictive analytics to make suggestions to the user;
4- Be me - Acting on user's behalf, when given permission, and making the best decision for the user.
Note: The steps mentioned have not been translated to preserve the original meaning.
Through user history, we can learn their preferences in different situational contexts, so that applications can then anticipate the needs of different profiles and present the next actions to the user. This will only be possible if we create predictive analytical systems, based on machine learning, with the capacity to process a lot of data. These are the types of backend services that we are building within the Data Factory, as well as other technological issues that we are trying to solve by generating web applications from the Elevation and Lithium platforms, that is, on the PRIMAVERA MX platform .
