A recently published report shows that almost 30% of Poles are not concerned about the amount of holiday spending. This interesting conclusion results from research conducted by the ING group. Although the nature of the holidays encourages us to spend time with our loved ones in the family circle. However, this custom of holiday shopping fever has permanently entered our calendar. It is not difficult to notice the increased pre-holiday traffic on the roads and queues in stores and supermarkets.
We are not much different from other Europeans.

According to the “ING Financial Barometer” study, we are in line with the average when compared to other European nations. Interestingly, the highest percentage of people who are not worried about their holiday estonia whatsapp database is in one of the poorer countries, Romania – 46%. The lowest is in the relatively rich Netherlands, where only 16% of the population is not worried about their holiday spending. Such an astonishing result can be explained by differences in the price level in both countries. But a counterargument immediately appears about the level of earnings that differentiates Romania and the Netherlands. Which leads to the sad conclusion that poorer Romanians manage their household budgets worse than the Dutch, who try to rationalize and plan their spending. Without giving in to the “holiday madness”.

Let's go back to the situation in Poland. Among the surveyed people who financed the previous Christmas with loans, only half declare that they will not spend more this year than last year. These people often use loan calculators on the Internet. We can conclude that this is facilitated by the wide range of bank loans and so-called "instant loans" from parabanks. Low interest rates that encourage indebtedness and inflation, i.e. systematic price increases.
What is the conclusion from this?
Christmas has become a time when we do not regret spending money. Some say that the holidays have become commercialized, others that growing wealth allows us to spend more and more. However, the fact is that Christmas spending increases almost every year. Not only because of our larger household budgets and the tradition of shopping, which is strongly pushing from Western countries.
This is also due to the annual increase in the prices of all consumer goods. If we include the slowly but systematically increasing prices of food, fuel, gas and electricity, we have a clear picture of the situation. This picture is complemented by the growing average monthly salary in Poland. Unfortunately, it is calculated only from the salaries of employees employed mainly on permanent contracts. And not from all contracts for services and for specific work, the number of which increases every year. And unfortunately it does not fully reflect the real financial situation of Poles.
Almost a third of us are not worried about Christmas spending
