National Access Codes, which are sometimes alternatively referred to as trunk prefixes or domestic dialing prefixes, represent specific digits or carefully defined sequences of digits that must be imperatively dialed before the area code and the subscriber number when an individual or system is making a call within the same country, but critically, outside of the immediate local dialing area.
