It's now official: Firefox will be using Yahoo starting December 1st . In the coming days, Yahoo will adapt its interface to reflect Firefox's image. Americans will be the first to benefit from this change. A five-year contract, according to Mozilla Corporation CEO Chris Bread. Other search engines will still be available as alternatives.

Firefox will end its partnership with the Mountain iran mobile database giant as of January 1st. It is developing a diversification strategy to no longer be dependent on a single search engine. In 2010, Google generated more than 80% of Firefox's revenue.

"Our new search strategy supports our commitment to making Firefox a browser for everyone," said Chris Beard.

Firefox divides the web world into four parts:

In China, Baidu will remain the default browser engine.
In the United States, Yahoo will be the default search engine for 5 years.
Russia to Make Yandex the Default Search Engine
In the rest of the world, Google will still be installed by default. Will Yahoo be used in Europe if this strategy is successful? A question that currently remains unanswered.
Yahoo uses technology from Microsoft's Bing. There are rumors that Yahoo is looking to become independent and become a major alternative. Firefox held an 11.96% market share of web browsers worldwide as of October 2014 (StatCounter figures). In France, Firefox held a 19.63% market share of browsers as of October 2014 (StatCounter figures).
