The website is the primary tool for online communication, although it can currently be replaced in some respects by social networks. However, the website remains the main online business card of every business. It is a communication channel, but also a method of promotion.
Web management goes hand in hand with search engine optimization (SEO), which allows a website to reach completely new potential and real visitors. Unfortunately, according to research conducted by Webnode on a sample of more than five hundred respondents, published by the Czech News Agency (ČTK), many small entrepreneurs do not attach much importance to updating. In fact, up to two-thirds of them update their websites only sporadically, less than once a month, usually several times a year. Only a fifth of entrepreneurs update their website at least once a week. The exception is about 4% of respondents, who boasted that they manage their website every day.
However, almost 60% of sole proprietors and small businesses do not spend more than a few hours a month updating their website. A full 13% of entrepreneurs have not modified their website in any way since its launch. Only 20% of small entrepreneurs track website traffic.
