Not for young people, but by young people

Post by Bappy10 »

73% of young people between the ages of 12 and 29 do not claim tax back from their part-time job. This amounts to an average of 275 euros per young person and can amount to 900 euros per year, according to figures from 2007. This year too, news reports are appearing that young people are fattening the tax authorities . Alain Raap, innovator at the ICT organization of the Tax and Customs Administration, also notices this with his own sons and decides to do something about it. But how do you develop something for young people that works?

He saw how his sons use apps. But developing such an app turned out to be harder brother cell phone list than expected. Inspired by TEDxYouth Amsterdam and conversations with Robert van Hoesel of YoungWave and me, he wanted to focus on two things:

The Tax Authorities can make it more fun.
#36hours
Robert came up with the concept #36hours, co-creation with young people during the Christmas holidays. In 36 hours we challenged young app developers (between 14 and 18 years old) in teams to come up with a digital concept for the Tax Authorities issue. The winning team gets to walk with a professional app developer.
