Official Truecaller App, Not a "Bot": As per recent news (May 2025), Truecaller has officially integrated its Caller ID features into its main application to identify unknown WhatsApp calls and message senders. "Truecaller bot" you download; it's a feature within the standard Truecaller app.
How it Works: You need the official Truecaller app installed. For Android, you usually go to Truecaller's settings, enable "Show Caller ID for WhatsApp" (or similar), and grant "Notification Access" to Truecaller in your Android settings.
Limitations: Truecaller identifies based on its database. It won't show a name if the number isn't in its database or if the user has strong privacy settings. It also generally cannot block namibia whatsapp number data calls directly within WhatsApp; it primarily provides identification.
AI-Powered Message IDs: Recent news also highlights Truecaller's new AI-powered Message IDs (free for all users), which intelligently identify and summarize business messages in your SMS inbox, complementing its WhatsApp identification features.
Long-Term/Specific Device Issues (e.g., Smartwatches):

Some users, especially with smartwatches (like Samsung Galaxy Watches), have reported long-standing issues where WhatsApp Caller ID doesn't sync correctly to the watch, often due to how international numbers with "+" signs are handled. Workarounds include ensuring correct number formats or sometimes resetting watch/wearable apps.
In summary, if WhatsApp Caller ID isn't showing, first troubleshoot your WhatsApp and phone's permissions and notification settings. If you want to identify unknown numbers (not in your contacts), the Truecaller app's integration is the most common and effective third-party solution, but it relies on its own database and your device permissions.
