As part of his student practice, Narxoz student Damir Abdukarimov prepared for our blog a review of sociological and marketing research conducted in the countries of Central Asia – Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan – available in open sources.
The idea was to collect the results of open Central Asian sociological and marketing research in one review publication.
Sadly, it turns out that in such a large region as Central Asia, there is very little open sociological data.

This study was aimed at obtaining the most complete information on the interaction of citizens not only of the countries of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan separately, but also on the consideration of the entire Central Asian region as a whole. The study, divided into two parts, mainly highlighted aspects of media consumption and media literacy; within them: the main sources of information, the presence of media devices and the ability to use them, trust in the media, content preferences, etc.
Thus, we hope that this will be of help to those experts and specialists who are looking for the results of marketing and sociological research on the countries of Central Asia.
