Images must be at least 600 x 600 pixels (square).
Ad text must be about 90 characters.
Link headlines must be about 25 characters.
Each image/product description must be 30 characters.
And, of course, the image cannot contain more than 20% text, or Facebook will disapprove/disapprove it. You can use Facebook's grid tool to see how much text your images have.
There are a lot of things you can do with this type of ad unit, and we'll get to that in a second. First, let's address the first question probably on your mind...
Carousel ads have many different places for people to click, so when we first looked at them, we worried about ad spend, budgets, and costs per click, BUT Facebook has thought this through.
You pay for them like any other ad: CPM, optimized CPM, or CPC.
If you're optimizing your bids/paying per click (CPC), Facebook should only charge you once in the first 30 seconds the ad is shown. However, after those 30 seconds, each click counts as an additional click.
How much do Facebook carousel ads cost?
